Focus on Fun + Safety

This 5-day camp is geared toward beginner mountain bikers ages 8–13. Let our experienced coaches help your child develop solid foundational downhill mountain biking skills that focus is on safety and fun.  Some of the skills covered include:

  • Ground skills
  • Safety checks
  • Progressive skills development & practice
  • Trail etiquette

Daily lunch is also included.

It's Not All Downhill

Besides focusing on skills development and free riding, campers also explore Loon's summer activities, like:

  • Ninja Wild
  • Zipline
  • Hiking
  • Cross-country biking
  • Disc golf
  • Explore glacial caves

Plus, each camp week includes outings to area attractions such as Echo Lake, Lost River Gorge & Boulder Caves, or Whale's Tale Waterpark* (*weather permitting).

What Camp is Not

This camp is geared to beginner downhill mountain bikers. It does not include learning to ride jumps.

Camper's Checklist

Camps run rain or shine. Below is a list of items to bring for your safety and comfort. helmets and protecive pads are available to rent.

Requirements

  • Camper must be beginner rider, ages 8–13
  • Mountain bike with a minimum front suspension and two brakes *
    (*Rental bikes are available and include helmet, elbow pads, kneepads.)
  • Helmet (full-face recommended), eye protection (goggles or glasses), gloves, elbow pads, kneepads*
    (*Full-face helmets, kneepads and elbow pads are also available for rent separately.)

Additional Notes

  • Lunch is included with camp, but campers may bring their own lunch, if preferred.
  • Overnight storage for bikes and gear is offered.
  • Campers are required to be picked up by a parent or someone designated by parents over the age of 18.
  • Dietary restrictions will be accommodated. Packing your child’s lunch is recommended if preferred.
  • All waivers including allergy restrictions must be filled out and completed prior to arrival.
